Product Features

These 6 x 4 in postcards are designed by Helga Crafts, a Filipina artist and shop for handmade pieces based in Quezon City. The following Philippine native flowers are featured:

  • Benguet Lily - Endemic to the Cordillera highlands, the Benguet Lily is a rare bloom tied to the Indigenous Ibaloi and Kankanai people's reverence for the land.
  • Katmon - Native to Philippine forests, Katmon bears large, white-green flowers and sour fruit traditionally used for cooking and healing. It symbolizes nourishment and the intimate relationship between forest ecosystems.
  • Narra - is the Philippine national tree and a symbol of strength and national identity. Valued for its hardwood in furniture and construction, it represents durability and resilience in Filipino culture, often used in civic and educational symbolism.
  • Kapal-kapal  is used in Filipino herbal medicine for respiratory conditions and skin ailments. It is also known in some lowland areas as an ornamental and medicinal garden plant, highlighting the continuity between folk and modern uses.
